Automated Preflight
The moment your file hits our server, preflight runs — catching missing fonts, low-res images, improper bleeds, and other structural issues, and repairing them in place. Your job doesn't bounce back for minor tweaks.
3-Layer Image Inspection
We use machine vision to make sure what you see is what prints: the pipeline verifies the ripped file against your original, layer by layer, before it reaches a press.
XMF & Fiery Flow
Our fully integrated Fuji XMF and Fiery Digital workflows automatically normalize color spaces, generate high-res proofs, and handle complex imposition for both our Heidelberg sheetfed and Ricoh digital presses.
Automated — even when the job is custom
Automated prepress isn't new. Gang printers have run it for years — on fixed trim sizes, standard stocks, and a fixed product menu. The hard problem is automating prepress for jobs that have never existed before: odd trims, custom stocks, unusual binding. Our pipeline preflights, repairs, and imposes against the exact production plan built for your spec, live, on every custom configuration. That integration is the part you won't find elsewhere.
Intent-Aware, Not Just Rule-Based
Traditional preflight checks deterministic file properties — box dimensions, color space, font embedding flags. Ours goes further. It infers what the file is trying to be and reconciles the document against that intent, repairing structural issues automatically rather than rejecting the job.
Reader's Spreads, Split Automatically
Detects pages submitted as facing-page spreads and splits them into single pages in correct reading order — no need to re-export from your design software.
Missing Bleed, Added
Where artwork extends to the trim edge but bleed is absent, the engine extrapolates and adds the bleed it needed all along.
RGB Color, Converted
Detects RGB color objects and normalizes them to press-ready CMYK with profile-aware conversion — no muddy purples, no surprise shifts on press.
Live Transparency, Flattened
Identifies live transparencies and ensures correct flattening and rasterization so blended objects render predictably across every page.
Missing Fonts, Embedded or Outlined
Missing fonts are embedded where licensing permits, or converted to outlines so type renders identically to your composition.
Trim Boxes, Reconstructed
If trim boxes are absent or inconsistent, the engine derives them from artwork geometry and writes them back into the PDF for a clean handoff to imposition.
Anomalous Page Order, Reordered
Detects out-of-sequence or misplaced pages — covers, inserts, signatures — and reorders them to match the publication's logical flow.
Variable Data, Detected
Recognizes variable-data jobs from file structure and routes them into the correct VDP pipeline — no separate submission path required.
Canva Files, Welcome
Many printers turn Canva exports away. We don't — the engine handles their color, bleed, and transparency quirks the same as any other file. Send them as-is, no re-export needed.
Tuned to the tool that built your PDF
Every authoring tool has its tendencies — InDesign, Word, Canva, Illustrator. The engine detects the application and PDF library that built your file and applies fixes calibrated to that producer's quirks. No escalation, no estimator email asking you to re-export.
The inspection loop is tireless
If a fix doesn't clear inspection, the engine tries another approach. And another. Sometimes a file gets reworked a dozen times before it passes every layer — it keeps going until the output matches intent.
When a book has one problem page, the engine pulls that page out and works it harder until it clears — then merges it back into the sequence. Transparency stacked over a PMS spot? Handled.
In the slowest case, that's minutes, not hours. No silent failures. No half-fixed files reaching the press. And every problem it untangles becomes a pattern it spots faster the next time.
